Nuvia SITA NORM has appointed a manager for its new Stoneyhill NORM Treatment Facility, near Peterhead, U.K.

Ewan Hill has been appointed to the position of Business Manager for Nuvia SITA NORM. He is now tasked, not only with managing the new facility, but also overseeing safe operations, ensuring environmental compliance and developing the business as a whole.

Ewan is a Chartered Waste Manager, has a Masters Degree in Environmental Studies and over 10 years' experience in the waste management industry, having worked previously in contaminated soil remediation and as a waste minimization manager with Glasgow City Council. Ewan also has experience of the oil and gas industry through a position with Denholm Industrial Services.

Nuvia SITA NORM is a specialist joint venture company that brings together the nuclear industry experience of Nuvia Limited, one of the UK's leading radiation protection and radioactive waste experts, with the recycling and waste management capabilities of SITA UK.

The company's new NORM treatment facility at Stoneyhill near Peterhead will clean and recycle equipment from North Sea oil and gas operations affected by naturally occurring radioactive materials. It will present the industry with the means to comply with new environmental regulations governing the treatment and disposal of NORM waste.

NORM is the acronym for Naturally Occurring Radioactive Material and is a term used to describe low levels of radioactivity that exist naturally in the geological environment. It is found in a variety of bulk commodities, process wastes and commercial items, such as sands, china clays and soils, granite, coal and groundwater. It is also a by-product of the oil and gas industry and develops as a mineral scale on the inside of pipes and valves.

NORM-affected equipment delivered to Stoneyhill will be cleaned inside a custom built containment with ultra high powered water jets to safely remove mineral scale. Once de-scaled, metals and pipework will either be reused or recycled and the treated waste consigned to landfill under authorization at SITA UK's adjoining Stoneyhill site.

Commenting on his appointment, Ewan said, "With all major works on the construction of the facility now complete, commissioning is well underway and I'm looking forward to firmly establishing the business as an essential part of the supply chain for the region's oil and gas operators."

Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) Director Michael R. Bromwich on Monday announced several key appointments to high-level positions in the two new, independent agencies that will carry out the offshore energy management and enforcement functions currently under the jurisdiction of BOEMRE. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) and the Bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement (BSEE) will begin operating on October 1, 2011.

"I am pleased to announce my selection of a group of exceptionally qualified individuals," said Director Bromwich. "Throughout the recruitment process, we have looked for leaders who are technically skilled and experienced, and who can lead our ongoing efforts to enhance the safety of offshore exploration and production. The new leadership represents a combination of talented people from inside the agency with an exceptionally well-qualified group of people recruited from outside the agency."

BOEM will be responsible for managing development of the nation's offshore resources in an environmentally and economically responsible way. Functions will include: Leasing, Plan Administration, Environmental Studies, National Environmental Policy Act Analysis, Resource Evaluation, Economic Analysis and the Renewable Energy Program.

Some of the key leaders for BOEM will include:

• Dr. Walter D. Cruickshank, who will serve as the BOEM Deputy Director. Dr. Cruickshank has more than 25 years of experience at the Department of Interior. He most recently served as the BOEMRE Deputy Director. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geological Sciences from Cornell University and Doctorate in Mineral Economics from the Pennsylvania State University.
• Renee Orr, who will serve as BOEM's Strategic Resources Chief in BOEM. She has more than 23 years of experience with the Department of the Interior. Ms. Orr has overseen the staff implementation teams that have been at the core of the bureau's reorganization effort, and previously served as Chief of Leasing where she was responsible for the development and completion of several 5-Year Oil and Gas Leasing Programs. She earned Bachelor of Arts degrees in Economics and History from Metropolitan State College in Denver.
• Maureen Bornholdt, who will serve as the BOEM Renewables Chief. Ms. Bornholdt has more than 27 years of experience with the Department of the Interior. She most recently served as the Project Manager for BOEMRE's Offshore Renewable Energy Program. Ms. Bornholdt earned a Bachelor of Science in Public Administration from George Mason University.
• Ellen G. Aronson, who will serve as the BOEM Pacific Region Director. Ms. Aronson has over 33 years of experience with the Department of the Interior. She most recently served as the BOEMRE Pacific Region Director. Ms. Aronson earned a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Sara Lawrence College and a Master's of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Southern California.
• Dr. James Kendall, who will serve as the BOEM Alaska Region Director. Dr. Kendall has over 27 years of experience with the Department of the Interior. He most recently served as the BOEMRE Alaska Region Director. Dr. Kendall earned a bachelor's degree in biology from Old Dominion University, Ph.D. in oceanography from Texas A&M University, and a Post-doctoral Fellowship in Marine Biology from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He is also a graduate of the Federal Executive Institute, Charlottesville, Virginia, and the Senior Executive Fellows Program of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
• John Rodi, who has been the Deputy Regional Director of BOEMRE's Gulf of Mexico Region since November 2007 and will serve as the BOEM Gulf of Mexico Acting Regional Director until a permanent Regional Director is selected. Mr. Rodi has more than 40 years of federal service with five different agencies. Mr. Rodi has both Bachelor and Master Degrees in Economics from Tulane University and the University of New Orleans, respectively.

BSEE will enforce safety and environmental regulations. Functions will include: All field operations including Permitting and Research, Inspections, Offshore Regulatory Programs, Oil Spill Response, and newly formed Training and Environmental Compliance functions.

Some of the key leaders for BSEE will include:

• Charles Barbee, who will serve as the BSEE Chief of the Environmental Enforcement Division. Mr. Barbee has more than 20 years of experience with the U.S. Coast Guard. Most recently, he was the Coast Guard's program manager for both marine investigations and environmental crime. During his career, Mr. Barbee has specialized in oil spill contingency planning, pollution investigation and response, marine inspections and marine casualty investigations. He graduated and received his commission from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and earned a Master's Degree in Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix.
• Chris Barry, who will serve as the BSEE Director of the National Offshore Training Center. Mr. Barry currently serves as Chief of National Training and Leadership for the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the National Preparedness Directorate. He earned a Bachelor of Arts (dual) degree in Art History and Special Education and a Master of Instructional Systems Design.
• David Moore, who will serve as the BSEE Oil Spill Response Supervisor. Mr. Moore has more than 14 years of experience with the Department of the Interior. He most recently served as the Coordinator of BOEMRE's Oil Spill Program. He earned a Master of Engineering degree from Tulane University and a Master of Urban and Regional Planning degree from the University of New Orleans.
• Bob Brown, who will serve as the BSEE Associate Director for Administration. Mr. Brown has more than 30 years of experience at the Department of the Interior, Small Business Administration and U.S. Navy. He most recently served as the BOEMRE Associate Director for Administration and Budget and Chief Information Officer. Mr. Brown earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Seton Hall University and pursued post-graduate studies in History at Georgetown University.
• Lars Herbst, who will serve as the BSEE Gulf of Mexico Regional Director. Mr. Herbst has over 27 years of experience with the Department of the Interior. He most recently served as the Gulf of Mexico Regional Director for BOEMRE. He is a registered professional engineer in the State of Louisiana and earned a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University.
• Jaron E. Ming, who will serve as the BSEE Pacific Region Director. Mr. Ming most recently served as the Pacific Region's Lead Leasing Specialist. He previously served as the Senior Policy Advisor to the Regional Director. He started his career in the federal government as a Presidential Management Fellow. Mr. Ming earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Georgetown University, a Master of Arts degree in Marine Affairs and Policy from the University of Miami's Rosenstiel School of Marine and Atmospheric Science, and a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Miami School of Law.
• Mark Fesmire, who will serve as the BSEE Alaska Region Director. Mr. Fesmire most recently served in the New Mexico Energy Minerals and Natural Resources Department, where he has was the Director of the state oil and gas regulatory agency and Chairman of the Oil and Gas Commission for the past seven years. Prior to attending New Mexico State University where he received bachelor's degrees in Geological and Civil Engineering, Mr. Fesmire worked in the offshore oil fields of the Gulf of Mexico. After 12 years as a petroleum engineer, he completed Law School at the Texas Tech University School of Law. He is a Registered Professional Petroleum Engineer and Licensed Attorney.

Mr. Whitfield has also held the positions of Senior Vice President of BP Global Power, President and General Manager of Amoco Netherlands BV and Production Manager of Amoco (U.K.) Exploration Company. In addition, he has held numerous operational and technical leadership positions in various Amoco Production Company locations throughout the globe. Mr. Whitfield has a Bachelor of Science Degree—Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University.

Mr. Kelly is responsible for leading operational activity across the CNNS (UK) region and ensuring RBG delivers a quality service, whilst maintaining the highest HSEQ standards. The role provides an enhanced operational focus for both onshore and offshore activity throughout the CNNS, which is a significant growth area for RBG.

With more than 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Kelly joins RBG from Wood Group PSN where he previously served as international operations manager. He has a wide range of experience in operational and project management positions and has delivered major projects across the UKCS, Cameroon and Algeria.

PwC US today announced that Niloufar Molavi has been appointed as the firm's U.S. Energy Leader and new Market Managing Partner (MMP) for Greater Houston. In her new role, Molavi leads a practice comprised of 920 professionals serving U.S. energy clients in the oil and gas industry and is responsible for all client services – assurance, advisory and tax – for the geographic markets of Houston, Tulsa and New Orleans.

"Having spent my entire career in Houston, I've had many opportunities to grow, to gain new experiences, and to make a difference here at PwC – and I've been fortunate to work with so many talented and dedicated individuals along the way to help serve our energy clients in the U.S. and abroad," said Molavi. "I'm excited to continue to build our robust energy practice, and as I take on this new role, I'm eager to give back to the market that has helped me gain so many great experiences."

She previously served as energy leader within PwC's Tax practice and as the firm's U.S. Chief Diversity Officer, overseeing the firm's diversity strategy and all of its related programs and initiatives. With over 20 years experience with PwC, Molavi has served a wide range of energy companies both in the U.S. and abroad, advising clients on international and U.S. tax structuring, mergers, acquisitions and potential public offerings. She began her career with PwC in 1991 and was promoted to partner in 2001. She joined the firm's U.S. Leadership team in 2009.

Molavi earned her degree in Accounting as well as a Masters in Professional Accounting with a concentration in Taxation from the University of Texas at Austin. She currently serves on the Advisory Board of the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas and also serves on the non-profit board of Dress for Success Houston. She is a licensed CPA in Texas.

PwC has also appointed two new partners in the Greater Houston Assurance practice, focusing on Energy – Craig Friou and Jade Walle.

As a newly appointed Assurance partner, Craig Friou brings over 15 years of experience to clients in Houston and New Orleans. Friou has worked on audits of private and public companies, internal audit outsourcing projects and accounting advisory services in Houston, Dallas, Aberdeen (U.K.), and New Orleans. His clients have included multinational integrated oil and gas companies, independent exploration and production companies and oilfield services companies. Friou graduated from the University of Texas where he earned a BBA and a MPA degree in accounting. He is a licensed CPA in Texas and a member of the planning committee for the AICPA/PDI National Oil and Gas Conference, the Texas Society of CPAs and Rotary International.

Based in Tulsa, newly-appointed Assurance partner Jade Walle has worked on audits of both public and privately held energy companies in the natural gas industry, specializing in capital raising activities including initial public offerings (IPOs), public and private debt offerings, mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and carve-outs. Walle joined PwC in 1996 and previously worked in the Houston and London offices. While in London, he provided consulting services assisting foreign private issuers in accessing the U.S. capital markets and in their recurring US GAAP filing requirements. He graduated from Oklahoma State University with an M.S. in accounting and a B.S. in business administration, with a major in accounting and a minor in international business. Walle is a member of the AICPA, the Texas Society of CPAs, and the Oklahoma Society of CPAs. He also serves on the Oklahoma State University School of Accounting Advisory Board. Walle is a licensed CPA in both Texas and Oklahoma.

Additionally, Chris Gilbert and Frank Saputo have also joined PwC and will be based in the Houston, TX office.

Chris Gilbert has joined PwC US as a partner in PwC's International Tax practice, based in Houston. Gilbert, who brings more than ten years of industry experience to PwC, has focused on international tax for manufacturing and industrial product companies, as well as for the financial services industry. In his new role, he will serve both the oil and gas industry sector and the financial services industry in the Greater Houston market. Gilbert spent the last five years as the tax director, first for GE Commercial Finance and then GE Capital Asia Pacific, based in Tokyo. Previously he was a senior director of International Tax for the Pepsi Bottling Group in New York and prior to that a tax attorney for Koch Industries in Wichita, Kansas. Gilbert has a JD/MBA from Washburn University and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Missouri in Kansas City.

Frank Saputo has joined PwC US as a managing director in PwC's risk assurance practice. Based in Houston, Saputo brings more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry to PwC. In his new role, he will serve health industries clients in the Greater Houston market. Saputo spent the last 11 years as an executive at US Oncology, the last 3 of which he served as the chief administrative officer, responsible for Internal Audit, Regulatory Compliance and Risk Management activities. He graduated from California State University at Fullerton with a B.A. in business administration finance. Saputo is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Health Care Compliance Association, the Association of Internal Auditors, and the Risk Insurance Management Association. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Fraud Examiner.

Mr. Larssen has since February 2010 been with Aker Solutions' geo business as vice president exploration. Prior to Aker Solutions he has spent 16 years in various management positions at Schlumberger/Western Geco, operating as geophysicist on both the exploration and production side of the business. He has also spent two years at Tromsø-based oil company Front Exploration AS.

Mr. Larssen, who will be based in Stavanger, Norway, holds a masters degree in geology from the University of Oslo. He starts in his new role on September 1, 2011.

Baker Hughes announced that Darrell C. Howard has joined the company as President of the Integrated Operations organization. Howard joins Baker Hughes from VICO Indonesia, where he served as Vice President, Technical Support for the BP-Eni joint venture.

Howard joined Amoco Corp. following his graduation from the University of Colorado in 1978. During his career with Amoco he held a variety of drilling, completion, and production engineering and management roles. Howard has extensive international experience, including assignments where he worked closely with governments, national oil companies and third-party organizations in the United Kingdom, Norway, the Republic of Congo and Egypt. Immediately prior to his appointment with VICO Indonesia, he spent seven years in various roles with BP in Baku, Azerbaijan and with TNK-BP in Moscow, including Exploration Drilling Manager for the Shah Deniz Caspian gas project.

Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section has appointed Masud Javaid as chairman. Mr. Javaid takes over the role from Chris Nussbaum and will hold the chair from July 2011-June 2012.

With over 12 years of experience in the energy industry, Mr. Javaid is currently a senior economist within the strategy and economics team for TOTAL E&P UK and is SPE Aberdeen chairman on a voluntary basis.

Mr. Javaid said, "I want to thank the outgoing chair, Chris Nussbaum, for the great work that he has done and I hope to continue where he left off. I feel extremely privileged to have been selected by my peers as chairman of the Aberdeen Section. The aim of SPE as an organization is to provide opportunities for our members and all industry professionals to enhance their technical and professional abilities and to promote lifelong learning."

As a volunteer organization, SPE Aberdeen works closely with the oil and gas industry, Scottish universities and local schools, institutes and academia to advance the learning and technical excellence in all aspects of the industry; offshore, onshore and internationally.

Mr. Javaid continued, "In my role as chairman, I aim to continue to raise the profile of SPE in the local energy community and highlight the excellent technical programs that we offer I also want to ensure, with the help of our Careers Guidance committee, that we continue to provide a lot of support to north-east schools in order to promote the Energy Industry as a potential career path for the pupils.

"Through our Student Development committee we will ensure that we maintain excellent links with local Universities by providing Scholarships for students and support local SPE student chapters in any events that they may organize."

SPE Aberdeen is run entirely by volunteers and has members from across a range of age, gender and nationality, with four student Chapters at five Universities in Scotland.

Mr. Rae brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company gained from holding a variety of senior commercial and finance roles in a career spent working in both the oil and gas and manufacturing industries. He was most recently business development director at helicopter operators CHC.

His role at Swire will see him plan and implement sales and marketing activities as well as contributing to the executive management of the company.

El Paso Corporation announced that it has taken important steps related to the planned spinoff of its E&P business before year-end 2011. On Thursday, El Paso filed its initial Form 10 with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. This filing provides information about the spinoff and provides a detailed look at all aspects of the E&P business.

El Paso also announced that the new company will be named EP Energy Corporation, and it will be listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange under the ticker symbol EPE.

"We're excited about the creation of two outstanding publicly traded companies through the spinoff of our E&P business," said Doug Foshee, chairman, president, and chief executive officer of El Paso Corporation. "We are also excited about the new name for our E&P company -- EP Energy. The new name leverages the equity we have built in the El Paso brand, and it speaks directly to what our E&P business does so well: finding and producing oil and natural gas."

First Subsea has appointed John Shaw as global sales and business development manager. Formerly head of Engineered Products Group at Trelleborg Offshore, he will be responsible for developing First Subsea's innovative ball and taper connector business worldwide.

In addition to the Ballgrab range of subsea mooring connectors, ball and taper has been successfully used for pipeline recovery and decommissioning tools, ROV and diverless bend stiffener connectors for risers and umbilicals, pipeline repair, hose connectors, heavy lift and buoy mooring and retrieval applications.

A Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, Mr. Shaw is no stranger to the connector technology. At Trelleborg Offshore, he worked with First Subsea on the development of the diverless bend stiffener connector. "The simplicity of the ball and taper connection, and its powerful multi-point grip, makes it a very flexible solution to offshore connections in many demanding applications. My role will be to work with clients to develop existing and new applications for the ball and taper connector," he said.

First Subsea has successfully developed the ball and taper connector technology for drilling applications both onshore and offshore. One of this year's OTC Spotlight on Technology Awards included Canrig Drilling Technology's SureGrip Automated Casing Running Tool featuring the ball and taper gripping mechanism for handling drill piping.

"The ease of ball and taper connection makes it suitable for any application involving gripping, pulling and holding connections under load. John Shaw's experience will allow us to consolidate and improve our current product range, as well as developing opportunities for the connector in new markets," commented Brian Green, general manager, First Subsea Ltd.

Whitmarsh earned a bachelor of business administration degree in accounting from Texas A&M University and is a certified public accountant licensed in the state of Texas.

Global Petroleum announced the appointment of highly respected energy industry executive Mr. Peter Hill as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company.

Mr. Hill has extensive experience in the energy sector as a senior executive with a significant track record worldwide in high-level M&A and business development roles, primarily in the oil industry. Most recently Mr. Hill was the global head of Corporate M&A for Statoil ASA, where he was responsible for several large transactions, being a key member of the team responsible for Statoil's merger with Norsk Hydro Oil & Gas in December 2006, and leading the acquisition of EnCana's Gulf of Mexico deepwater assets in 2005. Prior to agreeing to join Global, Mr. Hill was responsible for supervising execution of the IPO of Statoil's Energy & Retail division in the latter part of 2010.

Previously Mr. Hill set up the international business of Waterous & Co as Managing Director in the UK, and before that worked for Enterprise Oil plc for many years, latterly as Head of International New Ventures. Mr. Hill started in the energy industry with Total Oil Marine and is a UK qualified Solicitor, having commenced his career with Clifford Chance. He holds an MA in Law from Oxford University.

Mr. Hill's immediate focus will be to expedite the exploration of the highly prospective project located in Namibia upon completion of the acquisition by Global of Jupiter Petroleum Limited, which is expected to occur in late August 2011.

The Board is delighted that an executive with Mr. Hill's reputation and market standing has agreed to join the Company at such a pivotal time in the development of its oil and gas projects. Mr. Hill is expected formally to commence his role with the Company at the beginning of September 2011.

Rowan announced that Thomas P. Burke has been appointed to serve as the Company's Chief Operating Officer, and Melanie M. Trent has been appointed to serve as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary.

Mr. Burke, who joined the Company in December 2009, previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's manufacturing subsidiary, LeTourneau Technologies, Inc., which was sold to Joy Global in June 2011. Prior to such time, he was employed by Complete Production Services, an oilfield services company, as a Division President from 2006 to 2009, and as Vice President Corporate Development from 2004 to 2006. Before joining Complete Production, Mr. Burke held various positions at Schlumberger Limited and McKinsey & Company.

Ms. Trent joined the Company in 2005 and served most recently as Vice President & Corporate Secretary, assisting in the Company's securities, corporate governance and transactional legal work.

Rowan also announced that David Russell, Executive Vice President of Drilling Operations, is leaving the Company to pursue other interests. Mr. Ralls said, "I respect David's decision to pursue other opportunities, but I am very sorry to see him leave. David has been with Rowan nearly 29 years and has been instrumental as a senior executive in the company's success and evolution. His leadership and many contributions will be sorely missed. Foster Wheeler has approved a senior leadership succession plan under which J. Kent Masters, 50, will become the company's Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2011. It is expected that he will stand for election to the company's board of directors as soon as practicable after October 1. Umberto della Sala, 63, will continue to serve as Interim Chief Executive Officer through September 30 and then will continue with the company in his ongoing roles as President and Chief Operating Officer, CEO of the company's Global Engineering and Construction Group and member of the board of directors.

As part of the leadership succession plan, Raymond J. Milchovich, 61, is expected to continue to serve as Non-Executive Chairman of the board of directors of Foster Wheeler AG through November 3. He has informed the board that he intends to leave the board on that date. The board has been actively planning for Milchovich's eventual departure and expects to announce its succession plan for Chairman on or before November 3, 2011.

Masters comes to Foster Wheeler from The Linde Group, a world-leading gases and engineering company, where he has served as a member of the Executive Board with responsibility for the operating segments Americas, the Global Business Unit Healthcare and the Business Area Merchant & Packaged Gases. He joined Linde in 2006 as a result of Linde's acquisition of The BOC Group, where he had been Chief Executive, Industrial and Special Products and a member of the board of directors.

"Kent has significant operating, technical and contracting experience -- and a demonstrable track record of successfully leading complex global organizations," said Milchovich, Non-Executive Chairman of the Board of Foster Wheeler AG. "Moreover, we believe that Kent's leadership approach is a perfect fit with the cultural norms of Foster Wheeler. I know I speak for the entire board when I say that we have full confidence in Kent to drive the company to reach its full potential."

Milchovich added, "With Umberto under contract through 2013 and having spent considerable time with Kent and Umberto together, I believe that they will be an excellent team. Furthermore, I have assured both Kent and the board that I will remain available to them in the event I can help with the transition in any way."

A native of Atlanta, Georgia, Masters holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master's degree in Business Administration from The Stern School of Business at New York University. He also serves on the board of directors of Rockwood Holdings, a manufacturer of chemicals and advanced materials based in Princeton, New Jersey.

Umberto della Sala joined Foster Wheeler in Milan in 1973 as a process engineer. From 1997 to 2000, he was assigned to FW USA as Vice President and General Manager of Latin American Operations and President of FW Caribe and later as commercial director. In 2000, he returned to Milan as Commercial Director of the newly formed Foster Wheeler Continental Europe Unit. He was appointed in 2001 as President and CEO of FW Continental Europe. In 2005 he was appointed as Foster Wheeler CEO Global Engineering & Construction (E&C) Group. He assumed the additional role of President and Chief Operating Officer of Foster Wheeler in 2007 and has served as the company's Interim Chief Executive Officer since October of 2010. He was elected to the Foster Wheeler board of directors in February 2011.

Garber has more than 14 years experience in the solids control business and most recently served 10 years as MI Swaco's Gulf Coast Environmental Services Area Manager.

Graeme has over 30 years public company experience and has held a number of senior positions in the oil and gas industry. He was also a co-founder of Sterling Energy plc and spent nine years as its Finance Director, Company Secretary and was its Chief Executive Officer for his last two years with the Company until he left in December 2009. GE Energy, which has grown from $29 billion in revenue to over $40 billion since 2006, announced that Dan Heintzelman, currently CEO of GE Energy Services, has been named CEO of GE Oil & Gas. Heintzelman succeeds Claudi Santiago, who has served as CEO of GE Oil & Gas for the last 12 years and is retiring from GE in December.

"Claudi Santiago has led GE Oil & Gas during a period when it became a global leader in its industry," said GE Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt. "Claudi's strategy of investing wisely in core technology and expanding into areas to provide more complete solutions for our customers proved to be the right one for GE and investors."

Immelt also stated, "Dan Heintzelman is exactly the right leader to succeed Claudi at Oil & Gas. Dan is one of GE's most experienced business leaders and brings a unique mix of operational excellence and customer focus to the role."

Steve Bolze, CEO of GE Power & Water, will now lead an expanded portfolio with the addition of Power Generation Services (formerly part of Energy Services) to the Power & Water business. With both the equipment and services businesses under his leadership, Bolze will lead a global organization that delivers full lifecycle solutions for power generation customers.

Dan Janki, currently GE Energy's chief financial officer, has been named CEO of the newly formed business within Energy, GE Energy Management. This business will consist of technology solutions for the delivery, management, conversion and optimization of electrical power for customers across multiple energy-intensive industries. Janki will be succeeded as Energy chief financial officer by Lynn Calpeter, currently chief financial officer for NBC Universal.

John Krenicki, GE vice chairman and CEO of GE Energy, said, "We have built an Energy business that is broader, deeper and more diverse than at any time in its 100+ year history.
