Europa announced the appointment of Hugh Mackay as a director of the Company.

As announced on August 11, 2011, Mr. Mackay will take up his position as Chief Executive Officer with effect from October 10, 2011. In order that he can participate in key decisions of the Company fully until that date, the Board has decided to appoint Mr. Mackay as a non-executive director in the meantime.

RBG has appointed John Kelly to the newly created role of Central and Northern North Sea (CNNS) operations director.

Mr. Kelly is responsible for leading operational activity across the CNNS (UK) region and ensuring RBG delivers a quality service, whilst maintaining the highest HSEQ standards. The role provides an enhanced operational focus for both onshore and offshore activity throughout the CNNS, which is a significant growth area for RBG.

With more than 25 years experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. Kelly joins RBG from Wood Group PSN where he previously served as international operations manager. He has a wide range of experience in operational and project management positions and has delivered major projects across the UKCS, Cameroon and Algeria.

Dave Workman, CEO, RBG, said, "I am very pleased to welcome John to the management team. The wealth of experience he brings, from working both in the UK and abroad, will be invaluable in ensuring our CNNS operations continue to achieve the highest standards in safety, quality and service delivery.

Xodus Group has made two senior appointments to support its strategy for further international growth.

Nigel Ross joins as business development director from Wood Group GTS where he was global key account director. Maggie Leitch has been appointed global director for technical safety and risk (TSR) and joins from PSN where she was global head of safety & environmental engineering, managing a team she grew from 12 to 70.

Nigel brings more than 30 years' international industry experience and has helped to develop oil and gas businesses in key energy regions including West Africa, Middle East, the Caspian and Russia. He will sit on the board of the firm's XMOS joint venture in Nigeria and will help to expand the multi-disciplined global team.

A Russian speaker, Nigel is determined that his industry experience and contacts will be instrumental to Xodus achieving its bold growth targets in the coming years. He said, "Xodus is an ambitious, top flight consultancy on the cusp of further international expansion and I'm very keen to apply my global experience and structured business development and market entry skills to help the company achieve its growth target of 1,000 employees by 2015."

Nigel joins Xodus after 18 months at Wood Group where he worked as Global Key Account Director. Prior to this he worked at Petrotechnics Ltd as a business development manager overseeing a number of high-profile projects in the Middle East, West Africa and Brunei. Previously, Nigel worked in Shell International, SDPC Nigeria and Shell UK fronting up and downstream capital projects after starting his career with Scottish Enterprise where he spent 11 years developing export links with the former Soviet Union, on behalf of Scottish-based businesses.

Maggie Leitch joins Xodus with an extensive background within safety, loss prevention and risk management, boasting 22 years' industry experience.

Maggie worked at PSN as chief of safety and environmental engineering for over eight years. While there she was responsible for developing best practice and global policies for safety and environmental engineering groups, developing strategic plans for international growth and promoting personnel and industry development.

Further to this, Maggie set up her own internal consultancy which at peak boasted 22 technical specialists attracting its own external international clients. She previously worked at Atkins Process as the principal safety engineer building upon her past expertise at Total Fina Elf Exploration UK where Maggie spent the bulk of her early career.

Between 1989 and 2002 she performed various roles at TFEE UK ranging from process engineer to her peak position as the head of safety engineering and subsequently the senior project engineer on the £30 million Alwyn Systems Upgrade Project.

She said, "I'm looking forward to the challenge ahead and my aspiration is to help Xodus excel in the field of technical safety and risk. I want Xodus to be both the employer of choice for technical safety, value systems, risk and reliability engineers and the consultant of choice for clients."

Swire Oilfield Service has appointed David Rae as sales director in line with its significant investment plans.

Mr. Rae brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the company gained from holding a variety of senior commercial and finance roles in a career spent working in both the oil and gas and manufacturing industries. He was most recently business development director at helicopter operators CHC.

His role at Swire will see him plan and implement sales and marketing activities as well as contributing to the executive management of the company.

"I am delighted to join Swire at this dynamic time of investment and growth in the company and look forward to working with the sales and operations teams to ensure we continue to deliver a first class service to our clients," said Mr. Rae. Mr. Rae's appointment comes shortly after Swire's announcement of its £50 million investment in services with £20 million being injected in to its North Sea operations including the construction of new global headquarters in Aberdeen.

Desire announced that Graeme Thomson, FCA, will join the Board as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the Audit Committee with effect from today.

Graeme has over 30 years public company experience and has held a number of senior positions in the oil and gas industry. He was Finance Director & Company Secretary for seven years at Dragon Oil plc and its predecessor companies. He was also a co-founder of Sterling Energy plc and spent nine years as its Finance Director, Company Secretary and was its Chief Executive Officer for his last two years with the Company until he left in December 2009. Since then, Graeme has been advising a number of oil and gas companies on their corporate finance, accounting, commercial and strategic affairs.

As from today, Hans-Joachim Polk will be the new Managing Director of RWE Dea Norge. Polk joined RWE Dea as far back as 1992, directly after graduating with a masters' degree in petroleum engineering from the technical university of Clausthal-Zellerfeld. In the course of his career, Polk spent three years in Cairo before moving back to Germany, where he had the responsibility for production from Germany's largest oilfield, Mittelplate. Prior to his posting in Oslo, he was responsible for field developments at the company's head office in Hamburg.

"RWE Dea Norge plays an important role in our international growth portfolio as we have some promising projects underway," explained Hans-Joachim Polk. "Together with my new team in Norway I am looking forward to make a significant contribution to our targets by developing this portfolio further."

Polk succeeds Hugo Sandal, who has been appointed Senior Vice President Production Europe at RWE Dea's head office. Sandal, who has a degree in engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology in Trondheim and a masters' degree in petroleum engineering from Stanford in the US, was appointed Managing Director of the company in Oslo in 1995. Sandal will continue as Chairman of the Board of RWE Dea Norge.

RWE Dea has been present in Norway since 1973, holds a solid license portfolio and is the operator of the recent and promising discoveries Zidane in the Norwegian Sea and Titan in the North Sea. In 2011, RWE Dea Norge has already been awarded five new licenses and is currently participating in 25 production licenses on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Mr. Scott has indicated his desire to hand over the reins of the Company and the Board of Cooper Energy has resolved to seek a new Managing Director to take the Company to the next growth level.

Mr. Scott will step down as the Managing Director and Director of Cooper Energy and all subsidiaries and will continue in a staff position to assist the Company to maintain its course during the search for a new Managing Director. Upon a new Managing Director being located, Mr. Scott will serve out his contractual notice period of six months and handover the responsibilities of running the Company to
the new Managing Director. The Board has initiated the search for a suitable replacement.

Mr. Michael Scott, current Managing Director, commenced with Cooper Energy on February 4, 2004. At that time the Company was an emerging Cooper Basin producer with 3 oil wells producing 600 barrels of oil per day and six exploration blocks in the Cooper Basin in South Australia. The Company now has ten oil fields with an oil production capacity in excess of 1,500 barrels of oil per day in Australia and Indonesia and a deep international exploration and appraisal/development portfolio across Australia, Indonesia, Tunisia, Poland and Romania. The Board thanks Mr. Scott for his contribution to the Company over the last seven and a half years.

completed an MBA at INSEAD and went on to join the oil and gas team at Goldman Sachs where he held the position of Vice

Ophir’s founding Managing Director, Dr. Alan Stein, will assume the role of Deputy Chairman with a focus upon business development.

Hardy O&G announced that its Finance Director, Dinesh Dattani FCA will be leaving the Company on August 31, 2011 to return to his permanent residence in Calgary, Canada.

Mr. Dattani joined Hardy as Finance Director in July 2007. He led the process to transfer Hardy's listing from AIM to the main market of the London Stock Exchange, completed a number of successful equity financings and led the finances and admin activities in Hardy's London headquarters.

Hardy has considerable financial and tax expertise in Chennai, India where many of the Company's Corporate and Financial functions will be transferred.

Commenting on the impending departure, Mr. Paul Mortimer, Chairman said, "We would like to thank Dinesh for his considerable contributions to Hardy over the past four years. Ms. Robinson is the outgoing Chief Executive of the Australian Petroleum Production & Exploration Association (APPEA), a role she has held since July 2005. In her time at APPEA, Ms. Robinson has worked tirelessly to deliver the policy, regulatory and fiscal framework necessary to underpin the full growth potential of Australia's oil and gas industry. She is a regular public speaker on energy policy and the promotion of Australia's oil and gas industry. During her tenure, membership has more than doubled and the profile and influence of APPEA has led to it becoming one of Australia's preeminent national industry bodies. Testament to this achievement has been the success of the most recent APPEA conference, held in Perth, which recorded the largest delegate attendance in its history.

Having held a number of senior and senior executive positions within the federal Government, including almost a decade with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, and as a former chief executive of the Australian Plantation Products & Paper Industry, Ms. Robinson brings to the Beach Board extensive knowledge and experience in public policy, government processes, change management and corporate governance. She is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, has completed the Company Director Diploma and is currently participating in the AICD's ASX 200 Chairman's Mentoring Program.

Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement (BOEMRE) Director Michael R. Bromwich named Dr. James Kendall as the Director of the Alaska Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) Region. Dr. Kendall has been serving as the Acting Director for the region since January 1, 2011.

"Jim is absolutely the right person for the job. We have very difficult decisions to make regarding energy development offshore Alaska, and the American public must have complete confidence that those decisions will be informed by the best scientific information available," said Director Bromwich. "Jim embodies the principles of scientific integrity. He is committed to openness and transparency, and he is a dedicated public servant. The feedback I have received regarding Jim's tenure over the last few months as Acting Regional Director from environmental organizations, industry groups, and other stakeholders has been uniformly positive – they have praised Jim's openness, his accessibility, and his willingness to listen to all points of view. This praise has been universal, including from stakeholders who have been critical of our office in the past. I am very pleased to have him at the helm of the Alaska Regional office."

Dr. Kendall most recently served as the Chief of BOEMRE's Environmental Division, where he was responsible for overseeing the Bureau's $30 million applied environmental and socioeconomic research program, its responsibilities under the National Environmental Policy Act, its environmental compliance responsibilities and the Coastal Impact Assistance Program. Prior to joining the BOEMRE Headquarters Office in 2000, Dr. Kendall served as the Chief of the Environmental Sciences Section of BOEMRE's Gulf of Mexico Region.

"Working with the Regional BOEMRE team these past few months has been an honor. They are true professionals, committed to environmental protection, responsible energy development and our nation," Dr. Kendall said. "The Alaska OCS is both an environmental treasure and a vital, strategic national resource and I am committed to ensuring safe and environmentally sound stewardship of its resources."

BOEMRE's Alaska Region oversees the exploration and development of oil and gas resources in federal waters offshore Alaska. This includes assessments of the oil and gas resources, preparation of environmental analysis and research, coordination with local, state, tribal and federal governments, and others interested in the OCS program.

Dr. Kendall will eventually transition to become the head of the Alaska region for the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, one of the new agencies that will replace the former Minerals Management Service on Oct. 1, 2011.

Mainland Resources has accepted the appointment of Gerry Jardine as a director of the Company effective May 18, 2011.

Mr. Jardine has worked in corporate finance and administration for public companies for the past 30 years and has considerable experience in fund raising for public companies. Since 1989, he has been President and principal shareholder of Amcan Fiscal Consultants, a private management consulting company based in Vancouver, British Columbia. Mr. Jardine founded and has served as Director and Officer of TSX Venture Exchange, NASDAQ and OTC Bulletin Board companies primarily within the research and development, mineral resource and oil and gas sectors. His responsibilities have included acquisitions, funding, and corporate governance and investor relations functions. Mr. Jardine has also served as a director of Mercer Gold Corporation since May 2011.

The Board has also accepted the resignation of Rahim Jivraj as a director of the Company effective May 18, 2011.

The Company also announced that it and American Exploration Corporation ("American Exploration") have entered into an amending agreement to extend the termination date of the Merger Agreement between the companies to August 31, 2011.

The previously announced Merger Agreement between Mainland and American Exploration contemplates a stock-for-stock merger between the companies, subject to approval of the shareholders of both companies. The companies have entered into the amending agreement to extend the termination date of the Merger Agreement from May 31, 2011 to August 31, 2011, in order to allow for additional time to complete required administrative and regulatory matters related to the merger process.

Europa O&G announced that after 16 years with the Company, Paul Barrett has signaled his intention to resign as Managing Director of Europa in order to pursue other interests. Paul intends to remain with the Company during his 12 month notice period in order to effect an orderly handover.

Paul will continue to oversee the planned exploration, appraisal and development work program on the Company's assets in the UK, Romania and France as discussed in the Company's interim results statement announced on April 20.

Bill Adamson, Chairman said "Paul is a co-founder of Europa and has been instrumental in developing the Group and its assets to the current position. I'm grateful to him for his early notification, enabling the Company to carry out sensible succession planning. A search for a Chief Executive Officer will commence immediately and the Board looks forward to moving the Company to the next stage in its development as a maturing pan-European E&P business."

Otto advised that Mr. Paul Moore, Managing Director of Otto has given notice of his resignation effective close of business Friday, July 1, 2011.

Mr. Moore has explained that his decision, not made lightly, was for personal reasons and he will be relocating overseas.

The Board has commenced a formal search for a new CEO. Mr. Moore will work closely with the Board and management over the coming 3 months to continue with ongoing business growth and operations and ensure a smooth transition.

Non executive director Mr. Ian Boserio will provide assistance to the management team and new CEO where necessary to further ensure successful business delivery.

The Company has an experienced and stable senior management team in Perth and Manila who will ensure all Company operations remain on schedule.

Although disappointed to be losing his services, the Board understands Mr. Moore's decision and we wish him and his family all the best for the future.

The Penspen Group has announced the appointment of Mike Simm as its new Director of Oil and Gas Field Engineering. Mike joins Penspen from Foster Wheeler where he worked in a number of Senior Management Roles including Divisional Director, Engineering Operations, Divisional Director, Process Engineering, and Programme Manager of their Strategic Alignment Initiative.

As Director of Oil and Gas Field Engineering, Mike will work across a broad range of technical disciplines to develop Penspen's field development expertise across the full project lifecycle into one of the company's principal business streams. Penspen has regularly provided engineering and project management services into Field Development work and the majority of its Operations and Maintenance activities are in oil and gas producing fields. Mike's role will be to strategically address building a comprehensive engineering and project management service for these clients.
