Cobalt announced that Van P. Whitfield has been promoted to the new position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Whitfield previously held the position of Executive Vice President, Operations and Development.

Joseph H. Bryant, Cobalt Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said, "Van has been an indispensable member of Cobalt's management team from the earliest days of the company, and I believe this new role will take advantage of the full range of his management talent and experience. Van's many years of senior management experience in worldwide operations will serve him well in his expanded role. As Cobalt executes its deepwater exploration program in two of the world's highest potential basins, the Board of Directors and I are very pleased that Van has accepted this position, and are confident that he will excel in this new role."

Mr. Whitfield joined Cobalt in May 2006. Mr. Whitfield has 37 years of experience leading oil and gas production operations and marketing activities in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Prior to joining Cobalt, Mr. Whitfield served in executive positions at CDX Gas LLC, BP Exploration (Angola) Limited, and was seconded to ExxonMobil Saudi Arabia (Southern Ghawar) Ltd in the position of Vice President, Power and Water. Mr. Whitfield has also held the positions of Senior Vice President of BP Global Power, President and General Manager of Amoco Netherlands BV and Production Manager of Amoco (U.K.) Exploration Company. In addition, he has held numerous operational and technical leadership positions in various Amoco Production Company locations throughout the globe. Mr. Whitfield has a Bachelor of Science Degree—Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University.

Ford Motor's (NYSE:F) June sales totaled 194,114, growing 13.6% from June 2010, the company reported today.

Ken Czubay, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service said, "Strong demand for Ford's fuel-efficient cars and crossovers continues, and we now are seeing truck buyers return to the market with significant appetite for our fuel-efficient V6 engines. The Fiesta and Focus are driving Ford's retail share gains in markets beyond our traditional geographic areas of strength. In California, Ford's retail share is the highest since 2006. We also have seen gains in the East and Southeast."

Ford's small cars powered the sales figures, as the all-new Fiesta and the Ford Focus accounted for 26,920 sales in June, up 66% from a year ago. The Fiesta and Focus recently were named to Kelley Blue Book's 2011 Top 10 Coolest New Cars Under $18,000.

Ford's utilities were also strong, with 6-month sales now totaling 280,875, a 25% increase over the first six months of 2010, making it the top selling utility brand in the U.S.

Shares of Ford Motor are trading up 1.16% at $13.95.

Fugro Multi Client Services Pty Ltd.

Ewa Ginal has been named International Marketing Manager at Fugro Multi Client Services, Rachel Masters, Managing Director of Fugro Multi Client Services Pty Ltd, announced.

Operating out of the Perth, West Australia office, Ginal will be responsible for the sales and marketing of non-exclusive seismic data projects to the oil and gas market, primarily in the Asia Pacific region to include; Australia, New Zealand, Timor, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, India and the Seychelles Islands.

"Ewa has proven herself through her history with Fugro," said Masters. "She knows Fugro on an international business level and that will definitely contribute to her continued success with the company."

Ginal joined Fugro Robertson in 2005 as a client manager where she was responsible for supporting the clients of Fugro Robertson's flagship geological product, Tellus™. Her other positions with Fugro Robertson have included, Tellus™ Sales Manager and Business Development Manager where she was responsible for the sales of the entire Fugro Robertson portfolio of non-exclusive products and new business in the Far East.

Ginal holds a Master of Science in Geology from the University of Warsaw, Poland. She is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists, the South Asia Petroleum Exploration Society and the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain.
