Cobalt announced that Van P. Whitfield has been promoted to the new position of Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Whitfield previously held the position of Executive Vice President, Operations and Development.

Joseph H. Bryant, Cobalt Chairman and Chief Executive Officer said, "Van has been an indispensable member of Cobalt's management team from the earliest days of the company, and I believe this new role will take advantage of the full range of his management talent and experience. Van's many years of senior management experience in worldwide operations will serve him well in his expanded role. As Cobalt executes its deepwater exploration program in two of the world's highest potential basins, the Board of Directors and I are very pleased that Van has accepted this position, and are confident that he will excel in this new role."

Mr. Whitfield joined Cobalt in May 2006. Mr. Whitfield has 37 years of experience leading oil and gas production operations and marketing activities in North America, the United Kingdom and Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Prior to joining Cobalt, Mr. Whitfield served in executive positions at CDX Gas LLC, BP Exploration (Angola) Limited, and was seconded to ExxonMobil Saudi Arabia (Southern Ghawar) Ltd in the position of Vice President, Power and Water. Mr. Whitfield has also held the positions of Senior Vice President of BP Global Power, President and General Manager of Amoco Netherlands BV and Production Manager of Amoco (U.K.) Exploration Company. In addition, he has held numerous operational and technical leadership positions in various Amoco Production Company locations throughout the globe. Mr. Whitfield has a Bachelor of Science Degree—Petroleum Engineering from Louisiana State University and is a graduate of the Executive Program at Stanford University.

Rowan announced that Thomas P. Burke has been appointed to serve as the Company's Chief Operating Officer, and Melanie M. Trent has been appointed to serve as Senior Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer and Corporate Secretary.

Matt Ralls, Rowan's President and Chief Executive Officer, commented, "We are delighted to announce these two new positions with the Company. I believe Tom's strong qualifications and leadership will help ensure Rowan's continued success, as we seek to further grow and diversify our offshore drilling business. While at LeTourneau, Tom successfully implemented many organizational and operational improvements, and was a key factor in the sale of that business to Joy Global. Likewise, Melanie provided invaluable leadership in our recent divestiture processes and will strengthen both our Human Resources and Information Technology efforts with her strong organization skills. I am confident that these two appointments will be great additions to the strong Rowan management team and look forward to Tom and Melanie's contributions to Rowan's future success."

Mr. Burke, who joined the Company in December 2009, previously served as the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Company's manufacturing subsidiary, LeTourneau Technologies, Inc., which was sold to Joy Global in June 2011. Prior to such time, he was employed by Complete Production Services, an oilfield services company, as a Division President from 2006 to 2009, and as Vice President Corporate Development from 2004 to 2006. Before joining Complete Production, Mr. Burke held various positions at Schlumberger Limited and McKinsey & Company.

Ms. Trent joined the Company in 2005 and served most recently as Vice President & Corporate Secretary, assisting in the Company's securities, corporate governance and transactional legal work.

Rowan also announced that David Russell, Executive Vice President of Drilling Operations, is leaving the Company to pursue other interests. Mr. Ralls said, "I respect David's decision to pursue other opportunities, but I am very sorry to see him leave. David has been with Rowan nearly 29 years and has been instrumental as a senior executive in the company's success and evolution. His leadership and many contributions will be sorely missed. Speaking for the Board of Directors and myself, I want to extend heartfelt gratitude to David for all he's done for Rowan and wish him continued success in his future endeavors."

Nighthawk announced the appointment of Mr. Charles (Chuck) H. Wilson to the Executive Management team as Chief Operating Officer. Chuck will commence his role on August 1, 2011.

Chuck brings over 30 years of drilling and completions experience, most recently as VP Operations and Engineering at Gasco Energy and holds a degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming.

Chuck has extensive knowledge of developing and undertaking vertical and horizontal drilling and completion programs within the United States and internationally. He has held operational and senior management positions with organizations such as Maxus Energy and Forest Oil Corporation.

Tim Heeley, Chief Executive of Nighthawk, commented, "We are delighted that Chuck has joined Nighthawk at an exciting juncture in our redevelopment. Chuck brings extensive experience of operating in the Denver basin plus a proven track record in optimizing production and driving cost savings in drilling and completion programs. As part of the company's ongoing strategic growth plan Spectrum has announced considerable strengthening of the Executive Management Team with the appointment of a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and the creation of a Chief Operating Officer (COO) position.

Henning Olset has been appointed as the new CFO of Spectrum ASA with effect from May 1, 2011. Based in Oslo, Henning possesses more than 10 years of executive financial management experience. In his previous assignment Henning joined Staples in 2006 with the acquisition of Andvord Tybring-Gjedde ASA, where he was CFO. He was instrumental in the process of restructuring the company and in his period as head of finance, the Nordic business became one of the most profitable parts of the Staples organization.

Jan Schoolmeesters has been appointed COO of Spectrum. Jan possesses substantial experience in the seismic industry with both a technical, operational and commercial background. His latest position was with PGS as President of Asia Pacific. Jan will be based in Oslo and will start in his new position as soon as possible.

The current CFO, Rhys Edwards will from the same date take the position as Group Commercial Director. Rhys will be based in Woking, UK. In this new role Rhys will be responsible for ensuring a consistent and commercial strategy for the group, supporting the Divisional EVP's on commercial matters and undertaking additional strategic projects.

They bring a wealth of relevant experience and a deep understanding of the inherent challenges to a rapidly growing organisation," said Rune Eng, Spectrum's Chief Executive Officer. Besides these significant additions to the executive line-up, Spectrum has also expanded its UK Multi-Client team with the recruitment of two well-known names in the seismic industry. Jim Martin and Alan Tidey have both joined the company from senior positions at CGGVeritas. They take on the roles of Vice President of Business Development and Sales Manager respectively. Jim and Alan bring with them over 50 years of relevant industry experience.

Expro Names New COO

Expro announced the appointment of Michael Jardon as its new Chief Operating Officer. He replaces Chris Mawtus, who has assumed the new role of Service Quality Director for Expro.

Mr. Jardon joins Expro from his current position as North America President of Vallourec & Mannesmann USA, a business offering premium tubular solutions to the oil and gas industry. This follows a highly successful 16-year career with Schlumberger. His appointment takes effect from May 1st.

At Vallourec & Mannesmann, Mr. Jardon led the organization's commercial activities across the energy and industry segments in North America, directing global research and development, as well as managing sales and strategy for the region.

With Schlumberger, he held senior roles in wireline, completions, well testing and subsea, culminating in three years as Vice President Well Testing and Subsea, responsible for North and South America. Before this, he held the role of Vice President Operations Support for Schlumberger's Well Completions and Productivity businesses which included responsibility for supporting global operations and driving overall Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) performance. While with Schlumberger, Mr. Jardon lived in the US, South America and the Middle East.
