Technip, in consortium with NPCC, was awarded by ZADCO an engineering, procurement and construction lump sum contract, worth a total of approximately $500 million (Technip part of the contract: 35%), for the Satah Full Field Development project. This field is located 200 kilometers northwest of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.

The Satah Full Field Development project's objective is to maximize crude oil production and oil recovery by reducing the well heads' back pressure and introducing of gas injection and gas lift facilities.

The project scope involves offshore brownfield works to the existing well head platforms and production manifold platform, installation of infield pipelines, as well as modifications and installation of new facilities at the Onshore Satah plant at Zirku Island.

This project award is the recognition of our expertise in the growing brownfield projects market in the Middle-East, said Arturo Grimaldi, Senior Vice President of Technip in the Middle East. It also reflects the confidence of our client ZADCO in the strong consortium that we form with NPCC.

Technip's operating center in Abu Dhabi will execute the engineering and procurement activities while construction and installation activities for offshore works will be performed by NPCC. The Onshore construction activities will be carried out jointly by the consortium companies.

Wood Group Kenny has been appointed by BP to provide engineering design and project management services for the subsea, umbilical, riser and flowline (SURF) infrastructure for BP's Quad 204 redevelopment project West of Shetland. Wood Group Kenny is responsible for the design of $1.2 billion worth of subsea, pipeline and riser infrastructure for the project. The dedicated engineering team is already 50 strong and will expand to 75 in the near future.

Mike Ogden, Wood Group Kenny's project manager for Quad 204 said, "This project presents significant technical challenges integrating new infrastructure within an existing brownfield development. Specific issues include proving the remaining or extended design life of existing systems, challenging metocean conditions and the inclusion of 21 new risers, 15 new flowlines, a range of structures, a re-designed umbilical distribution and control system and 25 new wells into a restricted area already containing 52 wells. WGK are responsible for engineering the entire SURF system from the trees to the connections within the new FPSO and supporting BP through the delivery, testing, installation and commissioning of these systems."

While the industry at large has been aware of the replacement FPSO, the scale and complexity of redevelopment associated with the subsea system has gone relatively unnoticed. To manage a project of this scale and complexity and attract the best talent in the industry we have co-located a growing BP and Wood Group Kenny team in a project office in the center of Aberdeen. This office will be a hub of activity allowing detailed design work to be progressed by Wood Group Kenny and facilitate interaction with key suppliers and contractors."

Technip was awarded an installation contract, worth approximately €40 million, by Maersk Oil North Sea UK Limited for the Gryphon Area Reinstatement Program – GARP, located about 320 kilometers North-East of Aberdeen in 110 meters of water.

This contract covers installation of 15 dynamic risers, 2 dynamic and 2 static umbilicals, 11 flexible flowlines as well as subsea equipment.

Technip's operating center in Aberdeen, Scotland will execute the contract, which is scheduled to be completed in the second semester of 2012. Vessels from the Technip fleet will be used for the campaign, including Skandi Arctic and Wellservicer.

BMT Cordah, subsidiary of BMT Group Ltd, has been awarded a major contract by Canadian Natural Resources International (CNRI). This project will see BMT provide vital support and guidance for the environmental aspects during two of CNRI's decommissioning projects, both of which are currently in the planning and consenting phase.

CNRI's Murchison and Ninian Northern fields located in the northern North Sea have both been in operation since the early 1980s. To ensure compliance with the requirements of key legislation and regulations set out by the UK Department of Energy and Climate Change (DECC), CNRI turned to BMT to draw upon its expertise and knowledge of decommissioning projects which includes Shelley, North West Hutton and Maureen Alpha and dates back to 1995.

As part of its support, BMT will develop the necessary documentation to inform project decisions, assess and manage environmental issues and ultimately support CNRI's decommissioning programs submission to DECC for approval. This includes: register of environmental permits, licenses and consents; decommissioning waste management strategy; assessment of energy use and gaseous emissions; drill cuttings pile management assessment; comparative assessment of pipeline and jacket decommissioning options; EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) scoping report and subsequent Environmental Statement.

David Sell, Managing Director of BMT Cordah, commented, "The North Sea hosts almost 600 offshore platforms of which 54% are more than 15 years old. The average age of the decommissioned platforms in the North Sea to date is 17 years, indicating that decommissioning will become an increasingly significant issue in the region over the next decade. KBR has received a letter of award from Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Limited to perform engineering design and procurement support services for the BP Quad 204 Floating Production Storage and Offload (FPSO) Project to be located west of Shetland Isles in UK waters.

The Quad 204 FPSO will be designed to meet the strict safety and environmental regulations for harsh weather operations. KBR has been involved in the Quad 204 Project since 2008, when work started on the select and define engineering of the FPSO. Services for the Quad 204 Project will be provided through KBR's offices in Singapore and Jakarta, Indonesia. This award follows the recent announcement by BP and its co-venturers, to progress with a major re-development of the Schiehallion and Loyal oil fields.

SeaBird announced through its wholly owned subsidiary SeaBird Exploration FZ LLC the receipt of a Notification of Award (NOA) from Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd of India (ONGC) for a 4C-3D Seismic API Pilot Project in Mumbai High Field. This is an official notification that SBX has been awarded Tender No Y16KC10017 and consequently the Hugin Explorer and Munin Explorer will mobilize from the Norwegian North Sea immediately following the conclusion of the current ExxonMobil contract expected to be around 10th September 2011.

This is a most prestigious contract award for SBX - as well as being the eighth contract award since operations started - and a highly important survey for ONGC as the data to be acquired is necessary for the planned optimal placement of two development wells from the upcoming platforms within the survey area by June 2012. ONGC has requested start up as soon as possible and SBX estimation for commencement on survey site is around mid October 2011.

The total number of node stations deployed will be in excess of 2,300 at 200 meter spacing, and data acquisition will be carried out in two swaths by rolling phases of approximately 760 nodes each. The technical expertise and track record of SBX in previous surveys has been an important element of the choice of contractor by ONGC, and furthermore this contract is another important step forward in the developing OBN market sector as it covers processing and interpretation for both pressure and converted (shear) wave data.

Value of the contract is USD 40 million and duration is estimated to be about 110 days including mobilization from North Sea.

Anadarko has issued a Letter of Intent to Technip for the engineering, construction and transport of a 23,000 ton Truss Spar hull for their Lucius field development. This field is located in approximately 7,100 feet (2,165 meters) of water, in the US Gulf of Mexico.

This Letter of Intent allows Technip to begin preliminary work on the project including purchase of long lead items for the hull in advance of the planned sanction date of December 2011.

The Lucius Spar will have a capacity of more than 80,000 barrels of oil and 450 million cubic feet of natural gas per day.

Technip's operating center in Houston, Texas, will provide the overall project management. The detailed hull design and fabrication will be carried out by Technip's yard in Pori (Finland), where most of the previous Technip Spar projects have been manufactured.

This Spar will be the fifteenth delivered by Technip (out of eighteen worldwide) and thus demonstrates both the leadership of the Group for this kind of floating platform and its ability to tackle ultra deep water developments. It also confirms the Pori yard track record expertise and great capabilities to deliver state-of-the-art platforms.

First oil is scheduled for 2014.

The Lucius Spar will be jointly owned by Anadarko (35%), Plains E&P (23.3%), ExxonMobil (15%), Apache (11.7%), Petrobras (9.6%) and Eni (5.4%).

Lukoil has awarded Baker Hughes a two-year contract to provide full drilling and completion services for 23 wells in the West Qurna field in southeast Iraq, 50 kilometers (31 miles) west of Basra.

Under the terms of the contract, Baker Hughes will provide engineering and project management for the turnkey drilling and completions scope of the project. Baker Hughes will supply drilling services, formation evaluation, casing and tubing running services, completion tools and services, wellbore intervention services, and wireline logging as well as perforation operations. Baker Hughes also will contract all third-party services, equipment, personnel, tools and materials required for the project, including the provision of up to five drilling rigs and three workover rigs.

Some of the wells will be drilled directionally, targeting the Mishrif formation, with step outs of up to 3,000 meters (9,842 feet). The wells are closely spaced, so the operation will employ a cluster (pad) drilling technique. The five drilling rigs and three workover rigs will be mounted on skids for fast, efficient rig moves.

Baker Hughes is well positioned in Iraq to execute the West Qurna project. In 2010 Baker Hughes opened a 120,000 square-meter (1.3 million square-feet) operations base in Basra to serve the Iraq oil and gas industry. The base includes a workshop to support a wide range of Baker Hughes products and services. The facility also houses chemical blending capabilities and inventory, as well as bulk drilling fluids storage for quick response to customers' requirements.

In addition to the LUKOIL drilling and completions award, Baker Hughes manages and operates drilling and workover rigs in the Zubair field for an international oil company. Baker Hughes also has a strategic alliance with the South Oil Company to support the development of Iraqi wireline capabilities; and supplies electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems and services—including real-time remote monitoring and automation capabilities to optimize production—to three major international operators.

Velocious has secured a contract to deliver intricate tooling components and associated services for use in subsea work on the Chevron-operated Gorgon Project off the north-west coast of Australia.

Velocious is currently designing and fabricating Buckle Initiation components and tooling which will become an integral part of the Project's offshore operations and subsea pipeline buckle mitigation methodology. Velocious is also providing other hardware and onshore services for Gorgon.

The work is split between delivering directly to the Gorgon Project and to contractor DOF Subsea which has subcontracted considerable scope to Velocious.

The Gorgon Project is operated by an Australian subsidiary of Chevron and is a joint venture of the Australian subsidiaries of Chevron (approximately 47 percent), ExxonMobil (25 percent) and Shell (25 percent), Osaka Gas (1.25 percent), Tokyo Gas (one percent) and Chubu Electric Power (0.417 percent).

It is one of the world's largest natural gas projects and the largest single resource natural gas project in Australia's history, containing resources of about 40 trillion cubic feet of gas.

Velocious CEO Brett Silich said the contract represented a major breakthrough for Velocious, which specializes in providing innovative subsea engineering products and services.

McDermott announced that one of its subsidiaries has been awarded a fabrication contract by Shell Offshore Inc., for the West Delta 143 "C" deck, jacket, piles, and bridge located in 370 feet of water in the Gulf of Mexico. The contract will be included in McDermott's third quarter 2011 bookings.

"We are pleased to be able to offer a competitive solution for the development of the West Delta platform," said Stephen M. Johnson, McDermott's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. "Shell's recognition of McDermott as a "Green Light" contractor for HSES performance, as well as their familiarity with our project management, ability to accelerate schedules and knowledge of our performance quality is where we added value with this contract."

McDermott's engineering group based in New Orleans will perform detailed construction engineering and load-out analysis for the 10,120-tons of structures. McDermott's Morgan City fabrication facility in Louisiana will perform all construction engineering, procurement, fabrication and onshore mechanical completion of the deck. McDermott will also assist in the commissioning of the platform.

First steel cut is scheduled to begin later this year, with expected sail away of the deck in the first quarter of 2013.

The WD 143 "C" fabrication is part of the Mars B Development, which consists of the Olympus Tension Leg Platform, West Boreas and South Deimos subsea development and the West Delta 143 "C" Jacket and Deck. The Olympus host will be located in Mississippi Canyon Block 807 in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 95 miles south of New Orleans, Louisiana, in a water depth of approximately 3,000 feet and its export pipelines will be tied back to the new WD 143 "C" platform.

Aker Solutions has signed a contract with Endeavour Energy UK, a subsidiary of Endeavour International Corporation, to supply subsea umbilicals and associated equipment for the East Rochelle development project located offshore UK. The contract value is approximately NOK 83 million (USD 15 million).

Aker Solutions will supply one 30 kilometer infield control umbilical and one 650 meter riser umbilical that will provide all system functions for the Rochelle field. Subsea umbilicals are deployed on the seabed to supply necessary control and chemicals to subsea oil and gas wells, subsea manifolds and any subsea system requiring a remote control.

The East Rochelle development project comprises of block 15/27 in the Central North Sea, and represents the first phase of the development of the Rochelle area. Endeavour is the operator of East Rochelle.

"We are very pleased to sign our first contract with Endeavour Energy UK. This is an important award for Aker Solutions and confirms our strong position in the umbilical market globally," said Tove Røskaft, senior vice president of Aker Solutions' umbilical business.

Engineering of the umbilicals will be managed out of Aker Solutions' facility in Oslo, Norway, and the umbilicals will be manufactured at Aker Solutions' facility in Moss, Norway. Final deliveries will be made in 2012.

Halliburton has been awarded a contract from Chevron for integrated services for shale natural gas exploration in Poland.

Work on Chevron Polska's initial shale gas exploration drilling program is expected to begin in the fourth quarter and the contract award is for three years, with extension opportunities. Halliburton services to be provided will include drilling services, mud logging, cementing, coiled tubing, slickline services, well testing, completion and hydraulic fracturing. Halliburton will support the project with project management services.

QGC has selected GL Noble Denton to provide verification services for the development of the Queensland Curtis Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) project, which is expected to supply more than 8.5 million tonnes of LNG per annum through the development of two
LNG trains.

GL Noble Denton's experts will oversee the pipeline construction portion of the project over a two-year period. The company will supply
inspection services for the installation of the 540 kilometer underground line between natural gas fields in Australia's Surat Basin
and a natural gas liquefaction plant on Curtis Island near Gladstone on Queensland's coast.

The quality assurance and control contract was awarded to GL Noble Denton following the successful completion of an in-depth study into the production capacity of the LNG plant design that will be built on Curtis Island. GL Noble Denton used its in-house Monte Carlo simulation software, OPTAGON to provide a holistic assessment of the ability of the LNG plant to meet its intended use. The model also identifies equipment criticality and their contributions to unplanned downtime, and has provided results that have added significant strategic and operational value to the project.

GE O&G' Drilling & Production business has received a contract of approximately $45 million to supply and service the industry's largest tension leg platform (TLP) marine riser Tensioner Systems to Chevron for deployment in its Big Foot oil and gas field in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

A TLP is a vertically moored floating structure suited for use in a wide range of water depths. GE is making key design modifications to develop 'push-up' style marine riser Tensioner equipment to enable the Chevron Big Foot oil and gas field TLP to deal with the challenging wave and current movement conditions of deepwater applications. To date, TLPs have been successfully deployed in water depths approaching 5,000 feet. The GE-Chevron Big Foot unit will be the first to operate in depths of 5,200 feet.

Manuel Terranova, senior vice president—global regions and sales, Drilling & Production, GE Oil & Gas said, "For this deepwater application, we are utilizing innovative technology to deliver customized 'push-up' style TLP Tensioners that offer Chevron an efficient and reliable solution for their challenging deepwater requirements. We are pleased to be supporting this important Chevron project which will contribute to the stability of future U.S. energy supply."

The Big Foot TLP will be Chevron's sixth operated facility in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico and will be located approximately 225 miles south of New Orleans. The TLP will include an on-board drilling rig and will have a production capacity of 75,000 barrels of oil and 25 million cubic feet of natural gas per day. Installation of the TLP is scheduled to begin in November 2012 and first oil is expected in 2014.

Songa Offshore's 100% owned subsidiary, Songa Rig AS, has received and accepted a Letter of Award (LOA) from Statoil for two new build "Cat-D" semisubmersibles with firm terms of 8 years each, and options that could extend this period to 20 years. The firm part of the contract has an aggregated revenue value of approximately USD 2.5 Billion, inclusive of mobilization, with a higher contract value upon program commencement due to escalation provisions taking effect from 2011. Statoil has awarded the contract for the two new build Cat D rigs on behalf of the participants in the Troll-license.

Statoil has an option to award contracts for two additional rigs to Songa.

Mobilization of the units to Statoil will take place in direct continuation of the rigs' delivery from Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co., Ltd (DSME) in 1Q and 3Q 2014. The fixed price, inclusive of yard's project management and commissioning, is USD 565 million per unit with 20/80 payment terms staggered by delivery schedule. The construction cost is expected to be funded from a combination of ongoing cash flows in addition to bank debt.

Mustang, a Wood Group company, provided the detail engineering, design and procurement services for two processing modules for the new Eni Nikaitchuq processing facility on the North Slope of Alaska, 60 miles west of Prudhoe Bay. The facility, which began oil production in late January 2011, has a treatment capacity of 40,000 BPD oil, 41,000 BPD produced water, 56,000 BPD source water and 6.1 MMscfd gas. In addition, the facility has a water injection capacity of up to 90,000 BPD water. Nikaitchuq is Eni's first operated development in Alaska.

Weighing approximately 4,000 tons each, the process and utilities modules were built in Louisiana and transported on barges through the Panama Canal to Alaska. The facility was designed to process 16-19 API oil with up to 2% sand content, to operate in –50°F arctic temperatures, to comply with the International Building Code, and to have minimal impact on the environment. These facilities allow Eni to ship sales-quality crude oil through the Trans-Alaska oil pipeline.

Mustang also provided detailed engineering for the integrated control and safety systems for the facility.

Hallin Marine announced the award of its latest subsea pipeline repair project off the African west coast. Working on behalf of a major oil company, Hallin is providing overall project management and engineering, the subsea operations vessel (SOV) Ullswater, repair equipment plus a saturation diving team, to support the urgent repair of a 20 inch water injection pipeline offshore Malongo, Angola. The contract was awarded following successful projects previously completed by Hallin in offshore Angola.

Mike Arnold, Managing Director of Hallin West commented, "This is a typical project for our West Africa project team and shows the effectiveness of our specialist-designed SOV Ullswater for this type of project. The vessel is strategically placed for work in West Africa as part of our ongoing commitment to the region."

A recent addition to the Hallin fleet, Ullswater is an ultra-modern SOV incorporating an integral 15-man saturation diving system. With a length of 78 meters and a 20.4 meter beam, the vessel incorporates DP2 dynamic positioning and can accommodate up to 120 personnel.

Wood Group's Alliance Engineering has been awarded a contract to provide detailed engineering and design services for the Tamar Platform Project, including topsides facilities and deck structure, to be located offshore Israel. The Tamar natural gas field will be operated by Noble Energy and is located offshore Israel in the eastern Mediterranean Sea's Levantine Basin.

The Tamar platform will be located in approximately 800 feet of water and will be designed to process 1.2 billion standard cubic feet of gas per day. The Tamar field is estimated to contain 8.4 trillion cubic feet of gas and will be produced through several subsea wells connected to the platform by 150 km long flow lines. The planned single-lift topsides facility will have four deck levels and will weigh nearly 10,000 tons when completed.

Chevron has awarded Baker Hughes a contract to supply electrical submersible pumping (ESP) systems and production packers for seven producing wells, plus mud line packers for three injection wells for their Gulf of Mexico deepwater Big Foot Project. This award marks the first deployment of ESP systems inside the wellbore in the deepwater Gulf of Mexico. The ESP systems will be placed at a true vertical depth of approximately 16,000 feet.

Discovered in 2006, Big Foot is in 5,200 feet of water in the Walker Ridge area of the Gulf of Mexico. The Big Foot production facility will be an extended tension leg platform with an onboard drilling rig and production capacity of 75,000 barrels of oil and 25 million cubic feet of gas. Deployment of the ESP systems is scheduled to begin in 2014.

ESP systems were selected to boost the production stream and maximize asset recovery while extending production life and accelerating recovery. Improved ESP technology and manufacturing controls has extended ESP run times for critical well applications. The 1200 horsepower dual ESP systems will be the highest horsepower in-well systems ever deployed in an offshore environment. The ESP systems are deployed on dual by-pass systems, allowing for reservoir access and the ability to switch between ESPs without intervention.

"Longer-term, the experience and knowledge gained from Big Foot can potentially be applied to other developments in the deepwater market to extend field productivity," said Richard Williams, president of the Gulf of Mexico for Baker Hughes. "We are happy to be working with Chevron on this groundbreaking project to extend the application of ESP technology in the deepwater environment."
