Delmar Systems has completed preset mooring systems installation and facility connection operations of the Mississippi Canyon 547 "A" floating production facility as part of the WhoDat Field development for LLOG Deepwater Development Company, L.L.C.

Delmar provided project engineering for anchor/mooring system design, fabrication oversight, installation engineering, operation procedures, and installation services for the facility's installation. Delmar also assisted LLOG and the facility designer/builder EXMAR in certification verification authority (CVA) review and regulatory approval for the mooring system.

In addition, Delmar procured, marshaled, and stored the twelve leg suction anchor, chain, polyester, chain mooring system at Delmar's state-of-the-art 11-acre Fourchon dockside facility. The mooring legs were connected to the pre-installed suction anchors using Delmar's patented subsea mooring connector. The Delmar subsea connector allows the mooring line to be easily connected to each preset suction anchor using a conventional anchor handling vessel (AHV) as opposed to larger, more expensive construction vessels that are normally used for permanent installations.

Delmar preset all twelve suction anchor mooring systems using a single conventional AHV. Once the facility arrived on location, Delmar connected the facility to the preset mooring systems using two conventional AHVs and supported by a field ROV support vessel. Facility connection operations were efficiently completed in seven days.

"Delmar was able to use existing contracted AHVs to drive maximum efficiency and cost savings for LLOG. We completed the project under budget and under the allocated time estimates. By making the best use of vessel tonnage and Delmar's proven experience with AHVs, Delmar completed the project safely, without any accidents, injuries, or associated lost time," said Brady Como, Delmar's Executive Vice President.

EMAS and operating brand for Ezra continues to boost its orderbook of marine and/or offshore construction contracts. The latest contract win was awarded to EMAS AMC, the Group's offshore construction division, by Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd, Chevron Offshore (Thailand) Ltd and Chevron Pattani Ltd (collectively, "Chevron Thailand").

This award will see EMAS AMC installing a number of wellhead platforms and associated pipelines in the Gulf of Thailand. This project is expected to commence in early 2012 for a three year firm period (2012 – 2014) with an option period for an additional two years (2015 – 2016), which in aggregate is estimated to increase the orderbook for EMAS AMC to over US $600 million.

Mr. Lionel Lee, EMAS's Managing Director, said, "This award is an important milestone for us and reaffirms the growing relationship that we have with Chevron in the Asia Pacific region."

"The total subsea orderbook for EMAS AMC is now past the halfway mark and is closer to our short-term target of US $1 billion for the segment. InterMoor has been awarded a contract for the installation of the drilling and production conductors for the Papa Terra project, that has Petrobras as Operator and Chevron as Non-Operator, announced InterMoor President Tom Fulton.

InterMoor is going to be responsible for the design, procurement, fabrication and installation of 15 conductors for the project. All 15 conductors are 36 inches in diameter.

InterMoor is going to fabricate all the conductors at its new 24-acre Morgan City, La. facility. The conductors are going to be installed in water depths up to 3,937 ft (1,200 m) off the coast of Brazil in the southern Campos Basin. The installation is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2011 utilizing DOF Subsea's Construction Anchor Handling Vessel Skandi Skolten under charter to InterMoor.

"We are proud to have signed this contract with Petrobras and proud to be part of the first TLWP in Brazil," said Fulton. "InterMoor has been developing its strength in the Brazil market through our local office in Rio de Janeiro and this project award confirms the dedication of our efforts to expand our opportunities in the region."

McDermott's subsidiaries was awarded a contract by PEMEX Exploración y Producción for procurement, construction and installation of three oil and gas pipelines ranging from 8 to 20 inches in diameter, in Mexico's Bay of Campeche. The contract is valued at more than US $50 million and will be included in McDermott's second quarter backlog for 2011.

"We are pleased to be working again for PEMEX in the Gulf of Mexico. Our installation solution for this project will be supported by our subsea engineering design group in Houston and fabrication work from our construction yard in Altamira, Mexico," said Stephen M. Johnson, McDermott's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer.

Pipeline installation engineering is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2011, with subsequent fabrication of the risers, clamps and guards, subsea tie-in assembly and additional platform piping and structural items from Altamira. McDermott's DB16 will perform the installation work, with completion expected by the end of the year.

DB16 is outfitted with a customized Automatic Welding System that offers high weld production rates and production flexibility. The vessel and its crew are recognized for producing repeatable high-quality welds with exceptional mechanical properties. Also impressive is the vessel's underwater block, capable of lifting large amounts of tonnage into deepwater.

The field development in the Gulf of Mexico sits in approximately 170 feet of water. The pipelines will run from the Kambesah Wells Recoverer Structure to the Kutz TA platform and the Ixtoc-A platform.

EMAS AMC has recently completed the installation of 38km umbilical for Shell in the Gulf of Mexico.

This project was the first to use a new 150mT Flexible Deployment System (FDS) onboard the BOA Sub C. The new FDS is capable of laying flexibles and umbilicals in water depths up to 3000m.

The project was executed with zero injuries to personnel and zero recordable incidents.

The 38 km by 80mm diameter Electro – Hydraulic Umbilical was installed between the Shell operated Popeye field located at Green Canyon Block 116 (616m water depth) and Shell's Cougar platform at South Timbalier Block 300(110m water depth) with the completion through an I-tube.

EMAS AMC's CEO, Mr. C J D'Cort said, "We are very pleased to have been selected by Shell for this project and are proud of the safe and efficient work of our project team."

McDermott announced that one of its subsidiary companies was awarded fabrication and installation work from Chevron U.S.A. to support the development of the Jack/St. Malo fields in the Gulf of Mexico. The project will be included in McDermott's first quarter 2011 bookings.

Work will begin in 2013, with the start of fabrication of 21 rigid jumpers at McDermott's Morgan City fabrication facility in Louisiana. Offshore installation will begin in early 2014 using McDermott's subsea construction vessel North Ocean 102 ("NO102") and the DB16.

"We are pleased to be able to support Chevron's deepwater developments in the Gulf of Mexico and believe that our combined solution of NO102's high payload and top tension capacity coupled with our ability to fabricate the high spec jumpers in house provides a unique benefit for this project's delivery," said Stephen M. Johnson, President and Chief Executive Officer of McDermott.

The NO102 and its crew will transport and install more than 60 miles of umbilicals, including three control and two power umbilicals. The jumpers and remaining subsea controls system components, including more than 80 flying leads, will be installed by the DB16.

Located in up to 7,150 feet of water in the US Gulf of Mexico Walker Ridge lease blocks, the Jack South and St. Malo North and South subsea drill centers tie back to the Jack and St. Malo floating production platform.

The 427-foot NO102 enables McDermott to offer versatile installation capabilities in the flexible pipe and product market worldwide. The vessel has two cranes and a moon pool to support deepwater subsea construction work and has a fast transit speed. It is currently equipped with a 7,000-ton capacity cable and umbilical and flexible pipe carousel with horizontal lay system. Plans are underway to upgrade the vessel's capability by installing a high-capacity flexible-lay system for ultra deepwater installation work. The upgrade will include installation of a new 250-ton crane.

North Ocean 105 (NO105), the sister ship to NO102, is currently under construction at a Spanish shipyard. The 427-foot vessel will be outfitted with a high capacity rigid-reeled pipe-lay system with top-tier payload capacity. The system will also accommodate installation of flexible products including submarine cables and umbilicals and flexible pipelines. The anticipated delivery date of the NO105 is 2012.

Subsea 7 announced the award of an engineering and installation contract by E.ON Ruhrgas UK E&P for the Huntington Development in the North Sea.

The Subsea 7 workscope comprises the installation of 12km of the 8-inch Gas Export pipeline, installation of infield flexible flowlines, main static umbilical and associated risers as well as installation of subsea structures followed by tie-ins, pre-commissioning and system testing. Engineering work has commenced in the Aberdeen office with installation using several of Subsea 7's fleet occurring through to 2012.

The Huntington Development is located 140 nautical miles North East of Aberdeen in Block 22/14 in the Central North Sea with water depths of 90m. E.ON Ruhrgas UK E&P is the operator and has a 25 % interest.
