TransGlobe Energy Corporation announced the repair of the Yemen export pipeline to the Red Sea and resumption of production at Block S-1.

TransGlobe was advised on July 16th that the export pipeline from Marib to the Ras Issa facility on the Red Sea was repaired on July 15th. The operator of Block S-1 began shipping sales crude oil on July 16th and commenced production from the An Nagyah field. The operator is currently ramping up production from the field and is producing approximately 8,300 Bopd Gross (2,075 Bopd to TransGlobe) this morning. Block S-1 produces a high quality (43 API) sweet crude oil and typically receives Brent pricing.

Block S-1 production (approximately 2,300 Bopd to TransGlobe) was shut in since March 17th, 2011 due to damage to the export pipeline.

The Company will provide updated Guidance for 2011 with the second Quarter financial results which are scheduled for release on Monday, August 8th.

Calvalley provided an operational update regarding current production development activities on the Company's Malik Block 9 which is approximately 350 kilometers east of Sana'a, the Capital of the Republic of Yemen.

During the current political unrest in Yemen, Calvalley has continued operations at all key production locations, including the Company's Central Production Facility ("CPF") at the Hiswah Field. The Company also continues to deliver blended crude oil from the Hiswah and Ras Nowmah Fields into the Masila Export Pipeline System ("MEPS") through its newly operational Truck Offloading Facility ("TOF").

As well, Calvalley is proceeding with facilities upgrades at the CPF to improve water handling capacity and to increase overall production through-put. This work priority is on schedule and is in anticipation of both increased production from the Hiswah field and increased blending of crude oil from the Ras Nowmah and Al-Roidhat Fields.

Calvalley is an international oil and gas company, with offices in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, that operates its 50% working interest in Block 9 of the Masila Basin, in The Republic of Yemen. Calvalley also operates its 100% working interest in the Gimbi and Metema Blocks of the Blue Nile Basin, in The Republic of Ethiopia.

Total continues to produce liquefied natural gas in Yemen at close to normal levels, Chief Executive Christophe de Margerie said Monday.

Like a number of other countries in the region, Yemen is in political crisis with protests against the regime there.

Total's priority in the country is the safety of its workers and its installations, de Margerie told reporters, adding that it will produce there for "as long as we can."

The company currently is producing "almost normally," he said, without elaborating.
