Octanex N.L. subsidiary Goldsborough Energy Pty Ltd. has awarded Seabird Exploration FZ LLC a contract for the acquisition of 3D and 2D marine seismic data within the areas of WA-422-P, WA-420-P, WA-407-P and WA-421-P, which lie offshore the northwest coast of Western Australia.

Octanex reports that no less than 600 sq km of 3D seismic and approximately 1,000 kms of 2D seismic will be acquired under the contract. The Octanex Group has now substantially completed the reprocessing of more than 11,000 line kilometers of good quality 2D seismic acquired by previous operators over its suite of South Bonaparte permits.

Buccaneer announced the Kenai Loop # 1 well spud on Friday, April 15, 2011. This is a milestone for the Company as it is the first well drilled by the Company in Alaska and comes just over 12 months since the initial acquisition of leases in Alaska was finalized.

At 8:00 AM Monday, April 18, drilling operations for the well had been successful in reaching 3075 feet, the designed surface casing point, preparations are being made to log this surface interval. On completion of logging surface casing will be set before commencement of drilling the next interval.

The next interval includes the Beluga Formation, one of several target objectives for the well. The Total Depth (TD) of the Kenai Loop # 1 well is 10,500 feet. The well is currently on schedule and expected to take approximately another 20 days to reach TD.

OGX has identified the presence of hydrocarbons in the Albian section of well 1-OGX-33-RJS, which is located in the BM-C-41 block, in the shallow waters of the Campos Basin. OGX holds a 100% working interest in this block.

An oil column of approximately 95 meters with approximately 42 meters of net pay has been identified in the carbonate reservoirs of the Albian section. The drilling of well OGX-33, also known as the Chimborazo prospect, was concluded at a final depth of 3,755 meters.

The OGX-33 well is situated 84 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro at a water depth of about 127 meters. The rig, Pride Venezuela, left the well on April 9, 2011. Drilling of the third extension well (OGX-42) of the Pipeline accumulation has been initiated.

Marathon has participated in the Atrush-1 discovery well, located approximately 55 miles northwest of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

The Atrush-1 well was drilled to a total depth of approximately 11,000 feet, and encountered 400 feet of net pay in the Jurassic zones. Drill stem tests were conducted to establish reservoir pressure gradients, fluid content and properties, and reservoir deliverability. Flow rates were established totaling more than 6,000 barrels of oil per day (bopd) from three horizons. The flow rates were limited by tubing sizes and testing equipment.

Marathon holds a 20 percent interest in the Atrush block. The well was operated by the joint-venture company General Exploration Partners, Inc., a subsidiary of Aspect Holdings, LLC and ShaMaran Petroleum, Inc., which holds an 80 percent working interest in the block.

Samson O&G has closed its previously announced sale of gas assets in the Jonah and Lookout Wash Fields in Green River Basin, Wyoming for $6.3 million to a group of private buyers, with an effective date of January 1, 2011. Samson's cash balance following this transaction stands at US $73.3 million.

Samson has also been advised that a frac date has been set for the Earl #1-13H well and it is expected that frac operations will commence Monday April 4th. Earl #1-13H was previously drilled to a measured total depth of 17,342 feet, and a 5,700 foot liner set in the horizontal section. This horizontal section will be fracced with 20 stages and the treatment is expected to place 2.3 million pounds of proppant. This operation will take approximately five days.
